The 2018 Cannes Film Festival officially came to end over the weekend but it wasn’t going to round off its 71st edition without a bang. The annual amfAR Gala took place on the festival’s penultimate night and this year it was particularly special due as it was the gala’s 25-year anniversary.
The charity organisation marked a new chapter this year by shining the spotlight on all the women who have supported the event throughout its history, selecting 25 women to be honorary chairs for the event. This is the first time amfAR has appointed a group of all-female chairs, following Kenneth Cole’s decision to step down as chairman.
Held at the famed Hôtel du Cap Eden-Roc, Hollywood stars and members of the fash pack gathered for a night of philanthropy and fashion, including Kristen Stewart, Astrid Berges and Milla Jovovich (who were all dressed in Chanel). The red carpet also saw the likes of supermodels Adriana Lima, Alessandro Ambrosio (who wore jewels by Saudi brand Nadine Jewellery), Izabel Goulart, Winnie Harlow and Cindy Bruna.
