Instagram’s new feature will help you spend more time off-screen

Ironic, isn't it?
Instead of persuading us to spend more time on the app, Instagram is encouraging its users to spend more time off-screen...

The team at Instagram has had a very busy year so far and just when we thought that the string of new features would slow down, a new one has been served up.

Having recently launched the ‘You’re All Caught Up’ feature that helps top stop the endless scroll, the ‘remove follower’ function (which makes unfollowing people much less awkward from now on) and the new ‘stories’ feature that lets followers ask you questions, Instagram’s newest function is perhaps the best one yet, and probably the most beneficial.

The social media app’s latest feature will help you spend less time scrolling your feed and focus more time on connecting with people off-screen.

That endless scroll can now come to an end by using the new ‘Daily Reminder’ feature which allows you to set a limit on how much time you spend scrolling, as well as allows you to switch off notifications for however long you want.

This time, not only will the feature be available on Instagram, but it will be available on Facebook platforms as well. Set to be available to the public soon, make sure you watch this space.
