In September, BURO. Middle East had the privilege of attending the 2022 Apple Keynote Conference to discover the tech giant’s latest launches including the new line-up of iPhones, the Apple Watch and AirPods. And as always, Apple solidified its status as a top contender in the industry.
Overnight, Apple revealed what it’s been cooking under its iPad umbrella and the all-new generation comes completely redesigned with plenty of new experiences.
“We’re so excited to bring the completely redesigned iPad to our most advanced iPad line-up ever,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “With a large 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, powerful A14 Bionic chip, a first-ever landscape front camera, fast wireless connectivity, USB-C, and support for incredible accessories like the new Magic Keyboard Folio, the new iPad delivers more value, more versatility — and is simply more fun.”
The new iPad comes with a selection of noticeable features including a new all-screen design in four vibrant finishes – blue, pink, yellow, and silver – and a large 10.9 Liquid Retina display. It is also powered by the A14 Bionic chip which brings more performance to the device, whether it’s efficiency for demanding tasks or all-day battery life, and continues to deliver the ultimate combination of portability, versatility, and unbelievable performance.
The powerful Bionic chip will also deliver a performance boost over the previous generations (making the new iPad faster than the best-selling Chromebook, and up to a whopping 5x faster than the best-selling Android tablet).
Bringing new features to the forefront, take advantage of the unique capabilities of the iPad as it introduces advanced camera and audio (including a first for iPad: the front-facing camera) and new productivity and collaboration features, so users can get even more done on iPad. Especially when it comes to its accessories.
Accessories extend the versatility of the iPad and with the next generation, the new Magic Keyboard Folio delivers an incredible typing experience with full-size keys, 1 mm of travel, and a responsive feel. For the first time, iPad will have a keyboard with a large trackpad and support for a click-anywhere experience and Multi-Touch gestures, which makes scrolling, swiping, pinching, and moving the cursor even more seamless.
Also, some of the everyday improvements that appear with the new iPad are new features in Messages, which will allow users to edit or unsend recently sent messages, recover recently deleted messages, and mark conversations as unread so they can come back to them later. Safari also added a shared Tab Group which will enhance your browsing experience as you can browse the web with others, whilst the Weather app comes to the iPad – it’s designed to take full advantage of the stunning display with animations.
The new iPad is available to order at apple.com/ae/store and in the Apple Store app in 28 countries and regions, with availability in stores beginning October 26, 2022.
