Virgil Abloh and Kim Jones are two names you should get used to hearing over the next few months. Both have already made several headlines this year thanks to giant career moves — Jones left Louis Vuitton to join Dior Homme and Abloh was announced as his successor at LV — and there’s plenty of hype around their debut collections for the labels in the coming months (although we already got a teaser of Jones’ work at Dior Homme when David Beckham sported a suit by the designer at the royal wedding last month).
Now, both are in the spotlight again thanks to the news that they’ve teamed up with sportswear giant Nike on separate collections to celebrate the upcoming World Cup.
Jones’ spin on the collection (called Football Reimagined) is informed by the punk era of the Seventies and Eighties whereas Abloh has drawn on his own experiences playing the game (and his signature logomania) for his collection, called Football, Mon Amour.

Sportswear has perhaps never looked cooler.
Kim Jones x Nike will be available from June 7 whilst Virgil Abloh x Nike will drop on June 14.
