2018 has been the year of the Spice Girls. From that Instagram post that sent the world into a spin that the band was reuniting, to tour rumours, royal wedding invites and a movie deal, the ’90s girl band is back in a big way.
Now, Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, is tapping into the collective nostalgia of the moment for an extremely good cause. The singer-turned-designer has designed a limited-edition shirt for Red Nose Day USA which features an iconic image of the band, albeit updated for the cause with right red noses on their faces.
The T-shirts retail for USD$35 (roughly Dhs130) and 100 per cent of the net proceeds go straight to Red Nose Day according to WWD. Speaking about the design, Beckham explained, “I’ve seen firsthand how Red Nose Day USA has touched the lives of millions of children — it’s been a true inspiration for me. I was honoured to design this shirt and promote the message of Girl Power to young women and children around the world. Every T-shirt sold helps this incredible cause continue to ensure all children receive the love, care and support they need.”
