This year Prada has been highlighting the importance of its signature fabric: black nylon. For the maison’s Spring/Summer ’18 campaign, the captivating images used the industrial material for inspiration as it is considered one of the brand’s founding principles.

Now, the Italian fashion house continues to celebrate the iconic material with a new video project, titled Nylon Farm.

Captured in the Prada Group’s industrial headquarters, located in Valvigna, Tuscany, the four-part series showcases the heritage and innovation of the nylon fabric in a futuristic setting.

In Episode 1 (above), there’s a sheep irregularity detected in the Nylon Farm and once it’s found, the model follows protocol (which features “artificial intelligence, automated machinery and human emotion”) and therefore, fixes the bug in order for the sheep’s synthetic fleece to be turned into Prada’s signature nylon.

The next three episodes in the series will be unveiled on June 1, 4 and 9, so make sure to watch this space!
