Earlier this year, Off-White was crowned as the hottest fashion brand of 2019 and why wouldn’t it be? Everything Virgil Abloh touches basically turns into a street style must-have.
However, Alessandro Michele (who also carries that golden touch) is here to prove Gucci’s presence of heat, as the Italian brand has just been crowned as the hottest brand of 2019’s second quarter.
According to Lyst — the fashion number-crunching platform — Gucci is back as the hottest brand after losing its spot to Off-White in Q1 due to a 20% revenue growth. During this time, Gucci debuted its Cruise collection, unveiled a new technology allowing customers to virtually try on sneakers and Alessandro Michele served as co-chair for the Met Gala.
Plus, there’s still plenty more to look forward too. Gucci recently debuted its first-ever High Jewellery collection and is collaborating with Farfetch on an eight-month-long series.
