Want and need: Gucci debuts its first High Jewellery collection

It's as dazzling as you'd expect...
Gucci's first High Jewellery collection is officially here and it stars beautiful precious stones and boundless creative flair by none other than Alessandro Michele...

The kaleidoscopic universe of Alessandro Michele is one that we’ve always wanted to enter and experience. Gucci‘s Creative Director is brilliantly artistic with a fantastical vision that is constantly (and evidently) echoed throughout his ready-to-wear collections and statement accessories.

So, you can imagine how thrilled we were to find out that Michele has further translated his vision to high-end jewellery.

The Kering-owned company just released its first-ever High Jewellery collection and we are seriously swooning over the creations.

Titled Hortus Deliciarum, the collection boasts an eclectic mix of elegance, mysticism and medieval references (well obviously, they are Michele’s designs after all), drawing on motifs that are symbolic of the fashion house.

Made up of more than 200 pieces (which is pretty impressive for a debut collection), Hortus Deliciarum welcomes you to explore three different chapters of the maison through the sparkling creations: the first pays homage to classical emblems of eternal love, the second is an ode to the majesty of the animal kingdom and the third, a striking selection that feature stones and cuts that take its inspiration from the mythical garden of Eden.
