It’s no secret that celebrities can charge staggering amounts of money for a single Instagram post but a new study has revealed just how much.
Hopper HQ, the automated Instagram scheduling tool, reveals its Instagram Rich List every year, with data collected from the company’s own internal data as well as publicly available information on a post’s value. They also take into consideration the amount of followers, user engagement and the frequency with which the star posts. The figures aren’t exact, but they give a pretty good indication of the power of celebrity when it comes to social media.
It’s no surprise that Kylie Jenner came out on top for 2018, with the almost 20-year old having recently been revealed to be on track to become America’s youngest self-made billionaire and taking out the third spot on Forbes’ highest paid celebrities list for 2018. According to Hopper HQ, the beauty mogul can charge up to Dhs3.6 million for a single post. She was followed by Selena Gomez in second place (Dhs2.9 million), Cristiano Ronaldo (Dhs2.7 million) in third, half-sister Kim Kardashian West in fourth (Dhs2.6 million) and Beyoncé in fifth place, who can charge Dhs2.5 million per post.
Jenner topped the overall list as well as the celebrity list (on which she was joined by Kim, Kendall and Khloe), whilst Bella Hadid is reportedly the highest charging model, commanding just under Dhs100,000 per post. Emily Ratajkowski takes out the second place in this category on Dhs97,300 whilst Rosie Huntington-Whiteley came in fifth on Dhs42,000.
Over in beauty, Dubai-based entrepreneur Huda Kattan was number one, charging approximately Dhs121,000 per post. She also topped the lifestyle list.
