Ever wondered which songs, artists or albums defined your year in music? With 2020 just days away (seriously, where did the year go?!), Apple have introduced a brand new feature that allows you to track your favourite tracks of the year in one playlist, updated weekly.
Dubbed Apple Music Replay, the newest feature is a function that allows its users to look back at the songs they loved in 2019 (Shawn Mendes’ Señorita is definitely on everyone’s lists) and will allow them to recap their most-listened-to tracks of the year.
How does it work? In the Apple Music app, there’s a “19 REPLAY” banner that pops up with an option for you to press “Get Your Replay Mix” and you’ll be prompted to enter your Apple ID and password.
Once that’s complete, it will generate a playlist of your top favourite songs from this year, as well as give you an insight into how much time you’ve spent listening to each artist. Plus, the playlist will be updated every week depending on the user’s listening habits.
Apple’s new service will be available year-round and will auto-populate each week as you stream new music. Just click here to get started.
