Kylie Minogue to play Glastonbury’s legend slot in 2019

BRB, booking tickets...
Glastonbury's 2019 line-up is already looking to be a good one as they've just announced who will take this year's legend slot..

There’s a stellar line-up of musical performances happening in 2019 including Alicia Keys, Snow Patrol and Jamiroquai performing at the Dubai Jazz Festival and perhaps the most exciting news of all, the Spice Girls on their world tour

Plus, it looks like there’s going to be a major line-up for the Glastonbury music festival which has previously gathered the likes of Beyoncé, Coldplay, Lionel Richie, Lady Gaga, Kanye West and Pharrell Williams.

Today the festival announced that its first major headliner will be Stormzy and that pop icon Kylie Minogue will be taking the ‘legend’ slot.

This is a particularly special moment for Minogue as she was supposed to headline the festival’s Pyramid Stage in 2004, but unfortunately, she had to cancel due to her cancer treatment.

Sharing her excitement via social media, the singer posted an image on her Instagram feed with a post that said: “I’m so thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing the ‘Legend slot’ on Sunday 30th June at @glastofest 2019. It will be 14 years since I was originally meant to appear there and so much has happened up to now. I can’t wait to see you all there to share this special show.”
