In case you needed any more proof that nineties nostalgia is alive and well, it has just been confirmed that a remake of Clueless is officially underway.
The 1995 cult classic starred Alicia Silverstone as the spoiled but loveable Cher Horowitz, as well as Brittany Murphy, Stacey Dash and the seemingly never ageing Paul Rudd. It was based on Jane Austen’s novel Emma and set a high school in Beverly Hills. Now, Variety reports that Paramount Pictures is working on a remake with Girls Trip writer Tracy Oliver lined up to produce, whilst GLOW‘s Marquita Robinson will write the script.
It is not yet known who will star in the film. TBH Paul Rudd could come back as Josh and no-one would even notice any time has passed.
Now we know what we’ll be spending our weekend watching…
In the meantime, find out which former The O.C. star is joining The Hills reboot this year.
