Last week, Beyoncé kicked off her heavily-anticipated ‘Renaissance World Tour’ in Stockholm with a stellar three-hour-long performance and an avant-garde wardrobe. After taking over the fashion world with her Adidas x Ivy Park range, Queen Bey is now likely to set foot in the beauty industry with–what we and millions of beauty fans alike–are predicting to be a Beyoncé hair care line.
Recently, Beyoncé took to Instagram to drop a three-picture carousel with no caption teasing a probable hair care range. In the first photo, the megastar sits at her vanity, styling her gorgeous curls. While many might have missed this little detail, our well-trained beauty eye couldn’t help but notice the generic-looking containers filled with mysterious liquids, creams, mousses, and who knows what else stocked on the vanity counter across from her. Each bottle appears to be labeled, making us wonder whether the popstar is testing samples. Swipe to the next photo, and we see a young Beyoncé getting her braids tended to, possibly at the hands of her mother, who owned a hair salon. It is the third photo, however, that sent both Beyoncé and beauty fans into a frenzy. Unlike its predecessors, the image doesn’t show the popstar but words written by her scrawled against a gray backdrop instead. Teasing the launch of a potential Beyoncé hair care line, the image reads:
“How many of ya’ll knew my job was sweeping hair in my mama’s salon? Destiny’s Child got our Start by performing for clients while they were getting their hair done. I was exposed to so many different kinds of entrepreneurial women in her salon. I saw firsthand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls. I watched her heal and be of service to so many women. Having learned so much on my hair journey, I’ve always dreamed of carrying on her legacy. I can’t wait for you to experience what I’ve been creating.”
That’s not all; Queen Bey continues to be a tease with a follow-up Instagram post, which has garnered over one million likes within hours. The superstar posted a compilation video of her ‘Renaissance World Tour’ featuring little clips of herself where her luscious locks play the main character, captioning it, “The category is HAIR.” While the possibility of us tending to our manes with the now highly-anticipated Beyoncé hair care line seems tremendously high, the popstar’s cryptic social media announcement has left us with numerous questions. From her hair care venture’s launch date and its availability in the Middle East to whether or not it will cater to a particular hair niche, a lot remains to be unveiled about the potential Beyoncé hair care line.
While we have been desperately scouring the depths of the internet, feeding on any information we can find about Queen Bey’s beauty endeavor, it seems like we will have to wait for her to drop more details. Needless to say we’ll have our eyes peeled to Beyoncé’s Instagram for the foreseeable future.
