During Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, Virginie Viard officially made her solo couture debut in Paris and the focus of her collection was geek chic — think super conservative silhouettes, fancy eyewear and heritage-embedded suits.
And whilst the collection was seriously pretty, it was Chanel’s beauty look that caught our eye, too.
The brand’s Global Creative Makeup and Colour Director, Lucia Pica, is the woman responsible for the barely-there beauty look that had us swooning.
Luckily for us, Lucia has shared the exact products she used to get the models’ faces runway-ready from base to brows so you can recreate the look at home. Here’s how she did it…
On the skin…
To create that flawless base, all you need to do is prep the skin with the Hydra Beauty Micro Gel Yeux, the Hydra Beauty Micro Serum and La Solution 10 De Chanel.
On the face…
Lucia exclusively told us the secret to creating that barely-there beauty face. “The skin is soft and translucent with L’Eau De Teint and La Palette Essentielle where needed, Baume Essentiel is added high on the cheekbones.”
On the brows…
Lucia explained, “I brushed up the eyebrows with the Stylo Sourcils Waterproof and filled with upwards strokes from the inner part.”
On the eyes…
The eyes remained quite neutral with a soft shimmer and statement eyeliner, and for this look, Lucia used Calligraphie De Chanel (in N°65 Hyperblack), then the Les Pinceaux De Chanel brush to softly smudge the liner. To complete the look, the brand’s Mascara Le Volume Révolution De Chanel was used in (N°10 Noir).
On the lips…
From Chanel Beauty’s Spring/Summer ’19 collection, it was the transparent Lips Baume Essentiel that softened the lips.
On the nails…
The nails were painted with the maison’s signature Le Vernis De Chanel (in N°548 Blanc White) and complete with Le Gel Coat.
BRB, we just need to head to the Chanel Beauty counter…
