Taking place now
One of the region's most popular interior design fairs is back for its second edition and we've rounded up the top three things to check out...

This month, Dubai has brought together some of the leading brands in the design industry to showcase their works at the second edition of the INDEX Exhibition. Following the theme of The Silk Road, the exhibition will see established and emerging designers come together to highlight artistic design pieces and works that focus on how East meets West.

With a plethora of panel discussions, showrooms and experiences, here are the top three things to look out for…

1. Artist Avenue

If you’re looking for a little artistic inspiration this month, the INDEX Exhibition has a dedicated show floor, called the Artist Avenue, which looks like an intimate art gallery. Both emerging and established artists from the region and across the globe will be showcasing their latest works and you’ll be able to see different artworks in a variety of mediums. You can expect to find pieces made with traditional oil techniques, acrylic applications and even different watercolours.

2. The Design Hub

This year, the Design Hub at the INDEX exhibition will focus on the theme of micro-living. The space will cater to the high demand for knowledge on how to transform small spaces into a chic places that will benefit your lifestyle and the environment. Here’ you’ll find curated collections, artistic experiences and trend-focused seminars that will help you do just that.

3. Collaborating with Tashkeel

Tashkeel has collaborated with INDEX on a curated selection of furniture designed by the UAE’s emerging talent. If you’re looking for a way to spice up your home, you can get some inspiration from some of the pieces the designers have created as they were inspired by the surroundings of the UAE.

The INDEX Exhibition is now open to the public and will run until September 18, 2018. It will take place at Dubai World Trade Center’s Sheikh Saeed Halls 1, 2 and 3.
