What drives you? What motivates you? What sets your soul on fire? What ignites the passion in you? Your car or your life, it’s the way you drive that says a lot about you. Our lives or our cars, we at BURO. Middle East, surely knew how to drive both in a luxurious way with Porsche – because luxury is an attitude that we got to celebrate with an iconic road trip around the UAE.
To showcase their 4-door limousine duo and premier the pairing of their latest Taycan and Panamera models, Porsche organised a one-of-a-kind Arabian experience with a spectacular demonstration on how to drive your freedom across the UAE. Twice as far, twice as free and twice as luxurious – both the Taycan 4S and Panamera are engineered to provide a unique sportiness and luxury with every drive.
It all started on Dubai’s metropolitan streets along the winding scenic route that culminated at the Address Beach Resort Fujairah. There, we also got to spend the night before heading back to Dubai and experience the alternate model for the return leg of the journey. The two four-door limousines were pitted against a variety of environments for our inspiration (and yours).
Did you know the new 4S Taycan can travel up to 407 kilometers with the performance battery?
… And that’s not it. It can also travel up to 463 kilometres with the Performance Battery Plus, the highest value of the current Taycan range. Unveiled in 2019, the new 4S is the third version of the series, sporting a central 10.9-inch infotainment display that’s perfect for the open road. Available with the Performance Battery up to 390 kW, or the Performance Battery Plus – up to 420 kW – additional customisations are endless for each unique driver. Equally scintillating is the model’s acceleration and tractive power. Capable of 0-100km/h with the Launch Control functionality, the 4S features a pulse-controlled inverter on the front axle with up to 300 amps and an inverter on the rear axle with up to 600 amps.
You wouldn’t believe that the new Panamera can drive without generating any local emissions within a range of 50kms.
…And within a maximum speed of 140 km/h, all while maintaining a true sports car experience. The four-door saloon tops out at 278 km/h and delivers a system torque of 700 Nm from stationary with ease. The all-wheel hybrid also breaks the 100 km/h barrier in a stunningly brief 4.6 seconds. And the torque is transferred to all four wheels and the standard three-chamber air suspension, ensuring the optimal balance between comfort and dynamism. Purring across the UAE’s dune-lined backroads, the Panamera redefines all expectations of plug-in hybrid motoring. This is where sustainability meets punchy performance, with the same record-breaking power that helped conquer the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2015 and 2016.
