You can now see some of Alexander McQueen’s most iconic pieces in person at the brand’s new flagship store

Up close and personal
The traditional brick and mortar experience is on its way out. Here's how the Alexander McQueen flagship store is shaking things up...

Alexander McQueen still remains one of the most talked about and celebrated legends in fashion. Now, fans will be able to get up close and personal with the late designer’s most recent and archive collections in the flagship store in Mayfair, London at the end of the month.

Sarah Burton, the Creative Director of Alexander McQueen, teamed up with architect Smiljan Radic to create an immersive experience of the McQueen journey. Spanning over three levels (and a massive 11,000 square feet) you’ll be able to get inside the mad and awesome world of McQueen — think escapism meets fashion.

The ground and first floor will feel like your regular store experience (womenswear and menswear spread across the two) and then the second floor will be home to the designer’s most boundary-breaking collections.

And keeping to McQueen’s ethos of fostering rising talent, the store will host exhibitions and talks for student designers, too.

So if you’re thinking of just popping by the store for a swift browse, you might want to reschedule your other plans…
