Valentino is set to stage a live Haute Couture show in Rome

Valentino is the latest brand to announce its plans for its next Haute Couture collection...

Fashion brands are insisting that the show must go on as a slew of brands are ready to lift the curtain to a runway show filled with its latest designs for the season. Valentino is the latest name to do so and announced that it will present its Haute Couture Autumn/Winter ’20 collection with a special show, which will consist of both physical and digital elements.

Set to take place on July 21, the Haute Couture show will feature a live performance at Rome’s Cinecittà Studios. Whilst the performance will be live on digital channels, the show will also invite selected fashion reviewers based in the country to physically attend the show — in respect of the current situation, following all necessary safety measures, of course.

As to what to expect from the special show, Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli worked closely alongside artist Nick Knight “in order to amplify human Haute Couture values through an idea where the Maison mastery will be highlighted by the digital side”, states the press release.

The inspiration behind the collection will be revealed prior to the show’s date and will attend its appointment with the Federation de la Haute Couture et de la Mode for the revelation. This will take place on July 8 — so mark your calendars.
