Tory Burch is in Dubai so naturally, she designed an exclusive kaftan collection

Tory Burch is celebrating the Middle East as she launches an exclusive kaftan capsule collection...

When it comes to fashion, it’s quite easy to get inspired by Dubai. The city was recently crowned as Lonely Planet’s top 10 cities to visit for 2020, and due to its architectural shapes, seaside escapes and kaleidoscopic colour palette (desert tones and spice souks meet beachy blues and Arabian affluence), it’s no wonder why Tory Burch launched an exclusive capsule collection in line with her return to the emirate.

Furthering her relationship with the Middle East and commitment to the women of the region, the designer launched a capsule collection comprised of four one-of-a-kind kaftans, merging Arabesque elements with the brand’s boho-chic, ultra-feminine and easy-breezy aesthetic.

Each design boasts exceptional craftsmanship as it took nearly 300 hours of hand-stitching to complete by a team of seamstresses in Tory Burch’s atelier in New York City. The kaftans are adorned in a new take of the brand’s paisley prints, Swarovski crystals, unique patterns and sleeve detailing.

Also, the designs come in the brand’s signature interpretation of the kaftan — which has long been a favourite silhouette of the designer, even whilst growing up.

“The kaftan is a classic piece and reminds me of the chic, effortless attitude of women in the Seventies, including my mother,” explained Burch. “Après-swim, she would tie up her wet hair and throw on a kaftan over her maillot-unbelievably stylish.”

The exclusive capsule collection just went on display at the Tory Burch pop-up experience at Level Shoes in The Dubai Mall, and will be available until November 13, 2019.
