For over 60 years, fashion label Gant has provided the world with cool pieces that have become the ultimate staples in our wardrobes and now, they’ve just given us another reason to fall in love with the brand all over again.

With more brands in the fashion industry becoming more eco- and animal-friendly (this year alone Versace and Furla each announced they’ll go fur-free moving forward), Gant has decided to launch an all-new diffusion line to highlight the importance of greater sustainability.

Called the Beacons Project, the new initiative features a line of products that are made of upcycled plastic from the ocean that still maintain the brand’s preppy-meets-coastal aesthetic (all thanks to a partnership with Seaqual and Tech Prep™).

According to a release on Fashionista, Gant’s Chief Marketing Officer, Brian Grevy, said of the project: “Through [the] Beacons Project, we are launching an entirely new process of creating beautiful products with a conscious, sustainable approach, which will further grow and evolve over time.”

Find out more about the project in the video above and then, shop the new Beacon’s Project line from today in stores or on Gant.com.
