Matchesfashion.com announces launch of new townhouse and exclusive Prada collection

Your one-stop shop
E-commerce giant Matchesfashion.com has just announced the launch of brand new townhouse that will take your shopping experience to a whole new level...

Just when you thought Matchesfashion.com already had it all, the team goes and purchases a 7,000 sq. ft., five-storey townhouse in Mayfair to welcome customers into its world like never before.

Far more than just a retail space (although that is one of the seriously impressive facets of the location, but more on that in a second), 5 Carlos Place will also be the home base for the platform’s new podcast, called What’s On, as well as a cafe and a calendar of cultural events. There’s 43 events scheduled already for the next two months that span fashion, music and art including a book signing by photographer Mario Sorrenti of his tome Kate which features previously unseen images of supermodel Kate Moss.

Elsewhere in the house is two levels dedicated to private shopping where visitors can book a personal shopping experience at any time on any day they so wish all-year round. The town house will hold a selection of items available on site, and customers can use the brand’s integrated mobile technology to deliver pieces they wish to try on from the online store to the house within 90 minutes.

We suspect one such collection that will have people doing just that is the site’s brand new exclusive collaboration with Prada. The collaboration sees the iconic Italian brand reimagine pieces from its F/W ’18 collection, Ultravision’, for the platform, including dresses and separates finished in bold neon colours with punchy graphics for women, as well as shirts, accessories and shoes for men.

Speaking of the collection, Fashion and Buying Director Natalie Kingham said in a release, “I loved the F/W ’18 Prada collection and knew I wanted to work with the brand to produce an exclusive collection, taking all the best elements that we know will resonate well with our customer. From the tulle layered dresses and tweed coats and two-pieces to the fluorescent neon bags and shoes, there is something for everyone.”
