Here’s everything you need to know about Miu Miu’s Resort ’19 show

It was a celebrity-filled affair
A spontaneous, last-minute decision by Miuccia Prada completely turned her latest collection show around. Here’s why...

Just mere hours before Haute Couture Fashion Week took over Paris, Italian luxury house Miu Miu brought the fash pack (literally everyone was there) to the city of lights’ Hotel Regina for the brand’s Resort ’19 collection show overnight.

To say the runway show was filled with A-listers would be an understatement. Whilst there was a front row filled with the industry’s most prominent figures, it was the catwalk that truly shone with stardust.

Miuccia Prada’s last minute decision to trade in scheduled models with friends of the label was a treat for the crowd as faces including Uma Thurman, Kate Bosworth, Chloe Sevigny, Suki Waterhouse, Alexa Chung, Jamie King and Gwendoline Christie walked the runway.

There were also supermodel faces such as Kaia Gerber and Naomi Campbell, and the house’s brand ambassador Sadie Sink (who exclusively spoke to Buro x System recently) who fronted the new womenswear Resort ‘19 collection.

The range was dominated by printed soft fabrics, lots of embellishments, sleepwear-inspired pieces and a luxe sportswear aesthetic that was present throughout the blue-hue dominated collection.
