Last week, all eyes were on the labels that showed on the Haute Couture Fashion Week schedule in Paris and whilst there was a slew of Italian names, such as Valentino and Fendi, that took their new couture collections to the runways, there was one name missing from the calendar.
Even though they’re not a usual contender on the haute couture schedule, Dolce & Gabbana stage their own version of a couture show with their Alta Sartoria and Alta Moda collections, and overnight, the designer duo did just that.
Known for its incredible runway shows, Dolce & Gabbana brought the fash pack to Como in Italy, where they showcased their newest Alta Moda collection.
Held at the Teresio Olivelli park in Tremezzo, the location was as dreamy as it was romantic with nature and art coming together in unique fashion.
As pebbled stones lined the runway, the brand’s new Alta Moda ensembles unfolded with printed ballgown skirts, Como panorama graphics on gowns, black velvet suits, lace dresses, kaftans and, of course, beautiful headpieces and accessories.
Friends with some of the biggest names in the industry (although not Selena Gomez after last month’s contorversy), Stefano and Domenico tapped Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova and Helena Christensen to walk the runway.
Also, British royal family member, Lady Kitty Spencer, walked for the brand alongside Ashley Graham, Sonia Ben Ammar, Emma Weymouth, Maye Musk and Halima Aden.
