The Arab Fashion Council is working hard to ensure the Middle East is positioned as a vital fashion hub and its next project is certain to make sure all eyes are on the region.
Overnight, the Council announced that, as part of a new strategic partnership with MBM Holding, it will host the 6th edition of Arab Fashion Week in Dubai on board the Queen Elizabeth II (which was recently opened at Mina Rashid). In doing so, the event will mark the world’s first ever floating fashion week.
The 6th edition is set to welcome designers from 13 countries including Russia, US, China, Italy, Armenia, Egypt and the UAE. The full list of participating designers has not yet been revealed.
Excitingly, this edition will also see the introduction of a new eco-friendly collection called AFC Green Label in order to promote sustainability in fashion within the region.
Arab Fashion Week will take place from May 9-12 in Dubai. For more information, see Arabfashionweek.org.
