Michael Kors’ eponymous label is gaining more recognition than ever before and was recently in the top 5 list of winners during Fashion Month in regards to Instagram engagement.
Following the designer’s move to go fur-free from 2018, Kors’ new collection features soft fabrics and traditional prints that boast quintessential brand codes in modern, modest cuts.
Dominated by tartan prints, along with polka dots, florals, stripes and zebra prints, the trans-seasonal range perfectly blends playful pieces with sophisticated cuts and is “inherently about modern eclecticism.”
According to WWD, Kors explained that he “liked the dichotomy this season of romantic and charming elements mixed with sleek tailoring.” Of the collection, he said: “It’s a mix of femininity, polish and athleticism. To me, it is the perfect storm for how women want to dress today.”
