Sama and Haya Khadra front Off-White’s new capsule collection with Sunglass Hut

The perfect pairing
Is there anything Virgil Abloh can't do? Off-White's designer just added another name to his growing list of collaborations. Here are the details...

Fresh off the back from his collaborated collection with Jimmy Choo’s Sandra Choi, Virgil Abloh is back to inject a new realm of edge into his newest collaboration with Sunglass Hut

Marking their first partnership together, Off-White x Sunglass Hut first debuted the unisex collection at Off-White’s most recent Fall/Winter ’18 runway show during Paris Fashion Week, and it had the fash pack snapping pictures to make sure those sunnies end up in their shopping carts this month.

Made up of three different styles, the sunglasses are infused with an extra thick acetate and come complete with a mixture of retro curves, angular lines and had lenses with different colour variations.

For the collaborated collection campaign, Abloh tapped photographer Francesco Nazardo to capture the Off-White millennial clad fronting the sunglasses and the images include Saudi-born Palestinian twins Sama and Haya Khadra aka Simi & Haze

Speaking of the new capsule collection, Abloh said: “I’ve always thought of sunglasses as an important accessory in a fashion context. It’s a small object that can give you the nuances of a brand’s opinion on design. For me, I was looking to incorporate classic shapes from the past with a youthful modern elegance. All lenses are flat, which gives each style the same edge. The shapes are all unisex, but I wanted to play with the ladylike emotion of the runway show muse. It gave the concept for the eyewear a firm foundation, allowing the looks to be elevated by their different sunglasses pairing.”

The collection will make its launch online as an exclusive for sunglasshut.com on March 20. Also, take a look at Off-White’s new perfume collab with Byredo
