Prince Harry and Meghan Markle make history with their latest wedding announcement

Just when we thought we couldn't love them any more...
This latest announcement about the royal wedding is perhaps one of the most important yet...

The royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is officially less than one week away (hooray!) and over the weekend, the Palace made an important announcement concerning the ceremony.

Kensington Palace revealed via Twitter that Harry and Meghan have asked The Most Reverend Michael Bruce Curry to give the address at their wedding. Curry is the 27th Presiding Bishop and Primate of The Episcopal Church from Chicago Illinois and “he will join The Dean of Windsor, The Rt. Revd. David Conner, who will conduct the service [and] The Most Revd. and Rt. Hon. Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, will officiate as the couple make their marriage vows.”

Curry’s inclusion in the ceremony is particularly monumental given that he is the first African American to have been given the honour. He was chosen after being recommended by Archbishop Welby.

We look forward to seeing Curry fulfil his duties next Saturday.

Until then, find out how Meghan Markle’s parents will be involved in the ceremony
