Meghan Markle had a pretty elaborate baby shower in New York, organised by Serena Williams, no less. Even if it was intimate by way of number of attendees, it was still a big affair as far as celebrity presence is concerned – (Cc: Amal Clooney).
But there was one notable absence: the Duchess of Cambridge. And that was due to a schedule conflict – not the non-existent feud everyone thinks is a wedge between them.
So now, Kate is going to be hosting a private baby shower to make up for it. A royal insider told Us Weekly, “There is still going to be some sort of private baby-centric event for Meghan’s UK people, and Kate will host. Her glam people and other relatives will be there. Not sure if it’s a total baby ‘shower,’ but you could probably call it that.”
Meghan’s due date is just around the corner in April, so the baby shower needs to happen relatively soon-ish. But of course both Meghan and Kate have been held up in royal engagements – Meghan has been in Morocco and Kate has been in Northern Ireland.
