During the global health crisis, we’ve come to learn and acknowledge a new type of hero: the frontline workers battling those who have been affected by the coronavirus.
The UAE has launched a dedicated campaign to honour and applaud those modern-day heroes who have been tirelessly working to ensure the safety of those affected during the crisis. The campaign, titled #ForeverThankfulUAE, unites the country to show their support to those on the frontline through the power of social media.
The #ForeverThankfulUAE movement created a unique Instagram filter inspired by the colours of the UAE. The filter can be saved to your Instagram and can be used to take videos or static photos whilst sharing messages of gratitude and encouragement.
Those messages will then be broadcasted live through an installation at the entrance of Al Garhoud Private Hospital.
This is the first online campaign in the UAE dedicated to support such messages. Mohammed Sultan Al Habtoor commented, “To utilize my platform to give thanks to all the people working in the frontline in the UAE showing them support, gratitude and encouragement is the least I can do. These key workers deserve more than just an acknowledgement as they are our heroes. I hope this initiative goes global and everyone can share their thanks.”
