Reese Witherspoon talks about ‘Legally Blonde 3’ for the first time

Yes!
Just last month, Reese Witherspoon confirmed that Legally Blonde 3 was happening and now the actress has spoken about it for the first time...

Gretchen Wieners may never have been able to make fetch happen, but the same can’t be said for Legally Blonde 3. The first film, released in 2001, became a instant classic and was followed up with a sequel in 2003. Now, 15 long years later, we’re finally getting a third installment. The news was confirmed by Elle, ahem Reese Witherspoon, herself back in June and now the award winning actress has spoken about the upcoming film for the first time.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of her new docu-series Shine With Reese Witherspoon, Reese said, “Oh, it’s going to be so fun! I got to go to a meeting the other day where we talked about all the new plot points and all the characters and some returning characters and some new characters. I mean, I got so excited just in the meeting. I was like, ‘This is gonna be good.'”

Given that ideas are being talked about already, it shouldn’t be too long before we get more information on other cast members. We really, really hope Jennifer Coolidge’s Paulette is among the returning characters. And Bruiser, of course.

In the meantime, find out which of Reese’s Big Little Lies co-stars has landed herself the screen rights to Liane Moriarty’s new book
