Beyoncé is looking fierce in Alexander McQueen at The Lion King premiere

Shutting down the red carpet once again...
We're getting closer to seeing the live-action reboot of 'The Lion King' hit the big screen as the premiere just took place in Hollywood...

Considered to be one of the biggest film releases of the year, The Lion King is officially hitting the silver screens in one week and we seriously cannot wait.

The live-action remake of the 1994 Disney classic is set to break box office records when it opens next weekend (even the film’s teaser trailer broke a record) and we’re certain some of you will be turning up to the movie theatres in animal prints or jungle-like prints.

Actually, that’s what most of the guests did during The Lion King‘s premiere in Hollywood overnight — Kelly Rowland opted for a zebra-printed ensemble, LeAnn Rimes chose a cheetah-printed silk dress and Seth Rogen chose a brightly coloured silk shirt with floral patterns.

However, it was Beyoncé that stood out to us as she turned to sparkle to honour the fantastical side of the classic story.

Queen Bey, who voices Nala in the film, walked the red carpet with daughter Blue Ivy in a stunning beaded gown by Alexander McQueen. A usual showstopper on the red carpet, Beyoncé’s Sarah Burton-designed tuxedo dress took her style status to a whole new level with dégradé crystals, gilded embellishments and layers of crystal jewellery.

Now, find out who has been cast as Ariel in the upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid.
