The UAE’s cultural scene — or more specifically its art scene — has had a stellar few months of top notch attractions. From hosting exhibitions like the Salvador Dali exhibition earlier this month, to the first special exhibitions in the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Tryano’s nutcracker competition which empowers Emirati women, local artists, galleries and designers are rightfully enjoying the spotlight.
Now, due to its immense success in its first three years, the Dubai Canvas art event is bringing the fun concept back to our shores, and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever.
A combination of art, live shows, entertainment and activities, the week-long festival will transform Dubai’s La Mer space into a hub of creativity and will see more than 30 artists from around the globe use 3D art and other mediums to create exceptional pieces.
According to Gulf News, Chief Malls Officer at Meraas Sally Yacoub spoke about the upcoming event, saying, “This year’s event will be held at the world-class beachfront at La Mer and promises to connect visitors with breathtaking art created by talented artists from around the globe. With its unmatched mix of dining, shopping, leisure and entertainment activities, La Mer offers the perfect backdrop to showcase the innovation and creativity of the artists and we’re looking forward to seeing residents and visitors interact with the exhibits on display.”
Dubai Canvas will run from March 1-7, 2018 at La Mer Dubai. Now, here’s what you can expect from Art Dubai 2018.
