This week’s Cannes Film Festival has seen plenty of excitement: from the stunning red carpets to the #MeToo march and Fashion For Relief runway show, there’s been no shortage of news coming out of the French Riviera.
And L’Oréal is getting in on the action by announcing its newest brand ambassador during the festival. Actress Amber Heard is the newest face to join the global beauty brand family, joining the likes of Julianne Moore, Neelam Gill and Eva Longoria.
On joining these women, Heard said, “I feel like these women — my fellow ambassadors — represent a voice, a power, a movement, an opinion.”
Taking to Instagram to confirm the news, the brand wrote, “Proud to welcome our new ambassador Amber Heard in the L’Oréal family. Modern Heroine: Fearless, Witty * Committed. You’re totally worth it.”
It’s fitting that the news was announced at the festival given that Heard has hosted a series of talks for the brand’s new ‘Worth It’ podcast that made its debut at this year’s event.
