From June 9th onwards, this avant-garde cinema, in collaboration with the esteemed Italian Cultural Institute Abu Dhabi, will set the stage ablaze with a curated selection of four acclaimed contemporary Italian productions, accompanied by a rapturous celebration of the enigmatic maestro himself, Federico Fellini.

Embarking on an unprecedented journey into “The Enigmatic World of Federico Fellini,” Cinema Akil will unveil the captivating cinematic universe of this legendary Italian director, showcasing three of his monumental works: the ethereal masterpiece “La Strada” (1954), the heart-wrenching ode “Nights of Cabiria” (1957), and the visionary symphony “8½” (1963). Within these cinematic marvels, Fellini’s exploration of the human condition, existential contemplations, and the eternal quest for identity will mesmerize and provoke thought throughout the annual film week.

Spanning from June 9th to June 15th, the Italian Film Week promises an immersive journey through a rich tapestry of genres, captivating audiences with seven carefully selected feature films that traverse the realms of drama, comedy, biography, and history. Unveiling the grandeur of the opening night, Cinema Akil presents Emanuele Crialese’s “L’IMMENSITA,” a captivating tale of love, passion, and liberation set against the vibrant backdrop of 1970s Rome, starring the globally adored icon, Penelope Cruz.
