Following the global health crisis and the global lockdowns, we thought Fashion Week might’ve been cancelled but next month, Milan is set to stage its first-ever digital edition of Milan Fashion Week and its roster is looking pretty impressive.

Etro is the latest brand to announce its presence during the upcoming showcase, and the Italian fashion house will host a coed runway show — for menswear, you’ll see the new Spring 2021 range and for womenswear, it’ll be Resort 2021 collections.

Although it will be a physical show, it will accommodate a much smaller audience all whilst adhering to the safety measures.

“We decided to organize a physical runway show to telegraph a strong message of positivity, which is something that the fashion industry and Milan definitely need,” said Etro Men’s Creative Director Kean Etro, according to WWD . “I think that after the lockdown, we are all learning to live our lives in a different way, immersing ourselves in a new reality that enables us, following specific instructions, to stay alive. I think the same needs to be done by the fashion industry, which, in keeping with the current situation and in observance of the safety measures, has to find a new normality.”

Milan Digital Fashion Week will run from July 14-17 and Etro’s showcase will be on July 15.
