Earlier this month, we came to know that two major powerhouses — Prada and Adidas — were joining forces to create an achingly cool collection, hinting that it revolved around footwear. And indeed, it was a sneaker drop and we’ve got the first look.
Championing an emblematic Adidas Originals shoe, the Superstar sneaker, Prada added an injection of luxury to the iconic style by offering superlative quality as every piece is made in Italy by the brand.
In line with the Superstar’s 50-year anniversary (it was born in 1969), the collaboration sees Prada’s full-grain leather intertwined with the signature adidas Originals rubber shell toe, finished with a herringbone-pattern rubber cupsole, serrated triple-stripe and a Trefoil logo-pint on the heel, alongside the Prada logotype.
Also, we were in for a surprise as we found out that the collaboration also introduced a new bag silhouette — the Prada Bowling bag for Adidas. Referencing the world of sports, it’s synonymous with the heritage of the German sports brand.
The shoes and bag will be on sale on December 4 online and in stores, and will come in a limited edition of 700.
Now, find out where Prada is heading for its Resort 2021 show.
