Staycations are about to get a whole lot better with these four new hotel openings this year

Here's what's coming to our shores over the next six months...
Not that we're in short supply of luxury hotels here in Dubai, but these four new hotel openings have us eagerly waiting to check in...

It’s no surprise that we love staycations here in Dubai. And why wouldn’t we? There are a slew of five-star hotels that offer some impressive culinary options, next-level comfort and stunning seaside views.

But sometimes, we look for something new. Whether it’s for adventure or a sense of being somewhere else, we’re on the lookout for some cool new hotels popping up on our shores. This year alone, there are four new names set to open up hotels towards the end of the year.

Atlantis Royal Residences

The Palm Jumeirah already has an impressive list of world-class hotels on its shores including W Dubai, Sofitel, Waldorf Astoria, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray and well, Atlantis, of course. And if you drive down the Crescent-like road, you’ll see an incredible structure that is yet to be complete, and to be honest, we can’t wait. Set to open its doors at the end of the year, The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences will be home to some heavy-hitters in the culinary industry including a Greek-Mediterranean fusion restaurant Estiatorio MilosDinner by Heston BlumenthalJaleo by Chef José AndrésHakkasan and Ariana’s Persian Kitchen.

FIVE Jumeirah Village Circle

Ok, so this came as a surprise to all of us. A FIVE hotel in a residential area like Jumeirah Village Circle? Whilst it may seem a little risky to debut a new hotel in the area, we now know why it’s one of the city’s most ambitious hotels to date. The cylinder-like building will offer both hotel and residential services with each apartment/suite coming with its own pool.

Rove At The Park

There’s a home-grown hotel brand that is quickly dominating the hotel scene in Dubai. Rove has already opened a slew of hotels in Downtown, Dubai Marina, Healthcare City, Trade Centre and City Centre. Now, it looks like they’re still expanding with their next edition set to be located at Dubai Parks And Resorts. The branch, titled Rove At The Park, will feature a 24-hour gym, a swimming pool and sundeck. Plus, it’s just a few steps away from an array of theme parks including Legoland and Motiongate.

Waldorf Astoria DIFC

Located in one of Dubai’s most prestigious and coveted neighbourhoods, the Waldorf Astoria will be opening up in DIFC with 201 guest rooms, 46 suites and 28 residential apartments — each with floor-to-ceiling windows that highlight Dubai’s skyline. On the culinary front, the hotel will feature a Bull and Bear restaurant, the St. Trop rooftop lounge and Peacock Alley Lounge and Bar.

Now, before these endangered places are officially gone, set them high on your bucket list.
