Six of the world’s most luxurious beach clubs

Wish you were here
Soak up the last bits of the summer sun and jet-set to these top beach destinations...

There’s still a little time left in summer so why not make use of the quiet period by getting in one last dose of R&R at some of the world’s most luxurious beach clubs?

From picturesque private sands at Saint Tropez (where you can shop those resort-ready ensembles at Zimmerman’s summer pop-up shop) to watching the sun go down from the foothills of Capri in Italy, here are six luxe beach club destinations at which to eat, relax and get a golden glow…

1. Nikki Beach, Saint Tropez, France

One of the world’s most famous beach clubs, Nikki Beach, has an outpost in Saint Tropez (they’ve got one in Dubai too), and it’s the ultimate hotspot for sun seekers and adventurous jet-setters. An hour away from France’s Toulon airport, the chic oasis is close enough to the main village that you can soak up some sun and dine at the beach club’s centre pool before taking a fifteen-minute cab ride to the town centre in the evening.

2. Purobeach Palma, Mallorca, Spain

Set right off the coast of the Balearic island of Mallorca in Spain, Purobeach Palma beach club offers a Mediterranean-inspired hotspot to those looking for the ultimate beach experience. With gastronomy offerings just footsteps away, you can spend the day tanning on those poolside sunbeds, take a dip in the lava stone pool, enjoy a massage by the sea and sip on refreshing drinks at the terrace bar.

3. 1 Oak, Finolhu, Maldives

If you’re looking for a blend of relaxation during the day and then partying the night away, 1 Oak is the place for you. As if you needed another reason to jet-set to the Maldives anyway, 1 Oak sits pretty on the coast of the Indian Ocean and you can expect white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters (the perfect backdrop for your Instagram feeds). Kickstart your morning by indulging in the club’s luxury breakfast offering at the Baa Baa Beach Diner, and then spend the afternoon soaking up the sun and enjoying the breathtaking views before watching jaw-dropping performances in the evening.

4. Destino’s Day Club, Ibiza, Spain

Ibiza has long been a celebrity-favourite destination and you too can experience what A-listers experience at Destino’s Day Club. With panoramic views of Ibiza, Formentera island and the Mediterranean sea, Destino’s Day Club is the ultimate place to unwind, relax and immerse yourself in total island vibes during the day and then enjoy the evening’s soundtrack whilst relaxing in a hot tub or enjoying culinary offerings at the Sea View Terrace.

5. La Fontelina, Capri, Italy

A little different than your usual beach clubs, La Fontelina in Capri lets you bathe in the Meditteranean sun (and ocean) whilst you’re sitting comfortably amongst the Faraglioni rocks. Experiencing the true soul of the Italian island, guests will love the breathtaking views of the oceanic rock formations, and the fact that you can enjoy Italian carbs at its seaside restaurant, which first opened in 1949.

6. SantAnna, Mykonos, Greece

Mykonos is renowned for its epic beach clubs and its newest addition might just be the best yet. SantAnna Mykonos is only in its second season and yet the luxury beach club shows no signs of infancy. At the heart of the spacious area is the lagoon-shaped pool that’s relatively chilled during daylight hours but ramps up once the sun is going down. Surrounded by boutiques, a spa and the main restaurant (which serves up come of the freshest food we’ve ever had the pleasure of eating — the sea bass carpaccio is a can’t miss, just FYI), the pool also offers luxury private islands that can be rented out for up to eight people. The islands come with their own butler service, private changing rooms and access to a Submerged Suite with its own bathroom and daybed. If hanging by the beach is more your thing, you can choose from super comfortable sunbeds or sunloungers as you soak up the Grecian sun whilst the blue water of the Aegan Sea laps at the shores just inches away. The best news? When you rent a lounger, bed or island, whether by the pool or beach, you can stay on it for as long as you like. A perfect way to spend a day if you ask us.
