SIX HOTEL OPENINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN 2022

Staycations are about to get a whole lot better...

Not that we’re in short supply of luxury hotels here in Dubai, but these six new hotel openings have us eagerly waiting to check in.

UAE

Atlantis, The Royal

If you’ve been on the Palm recently, you would’ve spotted the experiential-looking resort next door to Atlantis. Almost resembling a stack of shipping containers, the highly anticipated launch of Atlantis, The Royal is upon us, offering a hospitable and entertaining destination spanning roughly 63 hectares. The ultra-luxury resort will host 795 rooms and suites, 90 swimming pools – including an infinity pool soaring almost 96m above the Palm – and will be an unparalleled culinary destination with outposts by some of the world’s most acclaimed chefs including Heston Blumenthal and José Andrés.

Set to open in the Fall of 2022. For more information, please visit atlantis.com.

Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah

The first Marriott resort in Dubai is officially opening its doors this year, and it’s beautifully located on the beach of the iconic Palm Jumeirah. Set to cater to both the leisure-seeking and dynamic business traveller, the resort offers the best of both worlds with its prime location and luxury services. The beachfront hotel is made up of 608 guest rooms, all with private balconies, 8 restaurants which include Korean, Italian, Japanese and Mexican cuisines, bars including Las Vegas’ famed Sake Rok, and the luxury Saray Spa.

Set to open in October 2022. For more information, please visit marriott.co.uk.

Address Grand Creek Harbour

Address Hotels will be opening yet another branch in Creek Harbour in November. Set to position itself as the ultimate getaway, the new waterfront hotel – aptly titled Address Grand Creek Harbour – will be home to 223 luxury rooms and suites, boasting contemporary décor, exquisite amenities and exceptional in-room facilities. Plus, there’ll be an inspired array of dining, retail and leisure experiences, as well as a world-class spa and health club.

Set to open in November 2022. For more information, please visit addresshotels.com.

SAUDI ARABIA

Banyan Tree AlUla

We’re particularly excited about this one. The Kingdom’s very first Banyan Tree resort will be opening up at AlUla, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it looks very serene. The high-end desert resort is situated in an eco-tourism region – just a short flight from either Jeddah or Riyadh – and will feature 82 luxury villas, a plush spa and a number of gourmet dining options. To pay tribute to its surroundings, saviour those idyllic moments in villas made to blend seamlessly into the Ashar Valley with its neutral and natural palettes.

Set to open in 2022. For more information, please visit banyantree.com.

It is expected to feature 63 guestrooms, a signature restaurant, a lounge bar, rooftop bar, penthouse terrace, spa, fitness centre and two pools (indoor and outdoor). The Doha Edition

The Doha Edition is bound to be a landmark address in Doha’s central business district, West Bay when it officially opens its doors later this year. Punctuating the eclectic Doha skyline, the new Edition hotel will have 200 guest rooms including 29 suites, two restaurants, three bars and a nightclub and nearly 929 sqm (10,000 sqft) of event space. Whilst no further details have been revealed, please visit editionhotels.com for updates.
