When it comes to award-winning properties, most of Dubai’s hospitality accolades are for hotels within the city. And to be honest, the awards are always coming in thick and fast. Beyond too, the entire region is sprinkled with five-star luxury.
As we are still in alfresco season (make the most of it guys, we’re feeling the first prick of heat already) we’re guessing you’re venturing out to the desert a lot. But rather than day-tripping it, you can now stay in a 30 sq m crystal roof bubble tent through Starlight Camp UAE. But bear in mind, it’s a pop-up campsite.
Here’s how it works…
– You give hosts Fabienne and Urs Eiselin a call and their team (with at least 3 days notice) will pitch your bubble tent around a 45-minute drive from Dubai International Airport. You can be taken there by a 4×4.
– The location is quite flexible so you will have all the privacy you want.
– The tent comes with a queen-size bed, so yay, no impending back issues. As well as a mirror, sink and curtains (read: all the things you think would be missing in a camp).
– Outside the bubble tent is a stylish lounge with a campfire, barbecue facilities, dinnerware, and a telescope for stargazing.
Sounds like a plan, right? Check out the brochure here.
The price per night is Dhs1,800 + 5 % VAT for two which includes the full camp including breakfast.
