Earlier this year, Instagram launched several new features to help us spend more time off-screen, from its ‘You’re All Caught Up’ feature to the ‘Daily Reminder’ feature which allows you to set a limit on how much time you spend scrolling. However our usage is set to increase exponentially in the coming months with as the platform has just given us three new reasons to log on.
Continuing its efforts to provide its users with the best shopping experience, Instagram has debuted three new shopping features that allow users to save products to a shopping collection (which they can revisit later), shop on brand profiles, and shop within Feed videos.
So how does this work exactly?
According to Fashion Network, “When users come across a product they’re interested in, they now have the option to save it to a Shopping file. The feature works just like the existing method of saving pictures to an image collection – but saves products to the new Shopping collection instead. Users can [also] tap on the icon in the bottom left corner of a video to view a list of products that were featured in the post.“
Looks like we know where we’ll be doing our holiday shopping next month.
