Instagram has introduced a shopping function to Stories

In the words of Chandler Bing, could it be any easier to shop online?
If you spend a lot of time scrolling through your Instagram Stories and online shopping, you're now able to combine the two...

Instagram Stories are now such a regular part of our everyday lives, we’re struggling to remember what life looked like before they were launched. Now, in addition to allowing us glimpses into our friends (and celebrities) daily activities, you’re able to shop directly from the story itself bringing a very welcome — and dangerous — new meaning to swiping up.

Select brands are now able to include a shopping bag sticker to Stories that allows users to click on the icon to discover more information about it and then purchase if they should so wish. The brands currently using the new function include Adidas and Louis Vuitton, with plans to extend the offering in the near future.

Announcing the new feature in a blog post, Instagram wrote, “Brands have always been early adoptters of stories, they create some of the most viewed and engaging content on the platform. Now, you can shop from select brands in Instagram Stores with more coming soon.” They added that 300 million people use Instagram Stories every day and that a recent survey showed that “Instagrammers often watch stories to stay in-the-know with brands they’re interested in, get an insider view of products they like and find out about new products that are relevant to them.”

Now, find out about Apple’s newest update which includes a feature that will tell you how many minutes/hours a day you spend in specific apps. Pretty sure Instagram will top that list…
