Heston Blumenthal to open first restaurant at Dubai’s Royal Atlantis Resort and Residences

Scheduled for 2019
Michelin-star rated chef Heston Blumenthal will open his first restaurant in Dubai next year. Here's what you need to know...

In Dubai, there’s no shortage of excellent, world-class restaurants and the city is about to add yet another top name to its line-up with today’s news that Heston Blumenthal will open his first restaurant in the Middle East at the new Royal Atlantis Resort on Dubai’s The Palm.

The Royal Atlantis Resort and Residences will officially open its doors next year (it is located next to the iconic Atlantis hotel on the crescent of The Palm) and in addition to its 231 apartments and 795 rooms and suites, the hotel will also bring an extraordinary culinary experience to the foodies of the city.

‘Dinner by Heston Blumenthal’ will open its doors at the hotel next year and is only the globally-renowned chef’s third international outpost following London and Melbourne.

According to a release, the inspiration behind the restaurant comes from Heston’s “fascination with history and gastronomy, which was triggered in the late ’90s after reading a 15th century manuscript known as The Vivendier. The book spoke of a dining experience full of playfulness and theatre, as well as intriguing ingredients and recipes.”

The menu at Dinner is “inspired by the tastes and flavours of Britain, from the farmers’ table to the royal courts of England and offers highly modern dishes inspired by a gastronomic insight from Medieval to Victorian times.”
