Dubai just set another Guinness World Record with a new hotel opening

Another record-breaking skyscraper added to the city's skyline...
Overnight, a new Guinness World Record has been made in the heart of the city. Here's why...

Earlier this year, Dubai rang in the Year of Zayed on New Year’s Eve with a spectacular laser light show that earned the city yet another Guinness World Record.

Known for being home to some of the world’s most recognised skyscrapers and developments such as the Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa and the Palm islands, Dubai has added a new hotel to its luxury portfolio of 5-star offerings and (you guessed it), it marks another Guinness World Record for the city.

Titled the Gevora Hotel, the newest addition to Dubai’s iconic Sheikh Zayed Road has won the title of ‘World’s Tallest Hotel’ and stands tall at 356 meters high (one metre taller than the previous record world holder).

Like any other hotel in Dubai, expect the epitome of luxury with its 75-storeys holding four restaurants, 528 rooms, an open-air pool deck, a luxury spa on the 71st floor, a health club and Jacuzzi, available for guests.

Here’s a little sneak peek of what to expect…
