SIT DOWN BUT MAKE IT CHIC, THE LOEWE CHAIRS WAY.

The making of in images.
This year's Salone Del Mobile project, titled "LOEWE Chairs," features chairs as the central focus and will be hosted in the courtyard of Palazzo Isimbardi from April 17th to April 23rd.

The hands and creative vision of skilled artisans from around the world transform ordinary objects into unique, embellished pieces. Weaving is employed to add texture and sculptural shapes to chairs, using various materials such as leather, raffia, and even thermal blanket foil. The artisans’ creative dialogues with the materials and chairs have resulted in stunningly colorful and decorated creations. The project focuses on the humble “stick chair,” which has long been considered simple and unimportant. These chairs provide a perfect base for the creative weaving and decorations. Thirty stick chairs, both antique and newly crafted, have been decorated. Additionally, eight Lloyd Loom chairs from Belgian company Vincent Sheppard are included in the exhibit. The LOEWE Lloyd Loom chairs are made of natural fibers and leather and are woven using the Lloyd Loom technique, expanding basketry possibilities within the LOEWE language. All chairs and inspired leather goods are available for purchase during the event.
