It’s no surprise that Dubai has constantly been at the forefront of innovation, and its status is proven with its newest planned development.
The city just launched a new 3D printed building, and at two-storeys high, it’s considered the world’s largest one.
The project was unveiled via Dubai Media Office on Twitter, where they announced that the building will now be the home of the Dubai Municipality. An integrated building comprising of two floors with a height of 9.5 meters, the space comes complete with several rooms, windows and a staircase. Take a look here…

Speaking of the new project, the Director-General of Dubai Municipality, Dawoud Al Hajri, said: [3D printing] will increase the pace and speed of execution and completion of buildings, and reduce construction costs and contribute to the development of solutions to the demographic challenges by reducing the number of construction workers.”
The 3D printed building is a part of the Dubai 3D Printing Strategy — which aims to have 25 percent of its buildings built through 3D printing by 2030.
