In a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and the enduring legacy of time dating back to 1755, Vacheron Constantin, the revered Swiss watchmaker, celebrates the return of Suite 1755. This exclusive lounge transcends the boundaries of mere horology, redefining Maison’s design excellence with the dedicated space at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira in Dubai.
Crafted by the visionary Dubai-based Saudi architect and interior designer Danah Almohaisin, Suite 1755 is a testament to Vacheron Constantin’s unwavering commitment to providing a bespoke experience to discerning collectors and passionate watch enthusiasts. The Vacheron Constantin’s Suite 1755, initially launched in Dubai in 2022, is ready to welcome watch aficionados once again for a period of 18 months starting November 6, 2023.
Nestled on the second floor of the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, the Vacheron Constantin Suite 1755 boasts an expansive space with a breathtaking seafront setting overlooking the pristine waters of the Arabian Gulf. The meticulous design, drawing inspiration from local culture and heritage, reflects Almohaisin’s artistic prowess and the Maison’s dedication to excellence beyond watchmaking.
Designed as a tribute to the local community, the Vacheron Constantin Suite 1755 is a masterful blend of regional art and luxury watchmaking heritage. Almohaisin’s creative ingenuity is evident in every detail, from clay brick frames inspired by Bastakiya to bespoke floor textiles mimicking sand dunes. The Suite also proudly features curated art pieces from Tashkeel, a nonprofit organization fostering the UAE’s creative industries, further reinforcing ties with the local community.
The space is adorned with exclusive Vacheron Constantin archival timepieces complemented by works of local artists. The interiors feature Khalid Alshafar‘s stools, Abdulrahman Alhammadi‘s ‘Perlage’ design adorning the entrance, Muneerah Almullah‘s ‘Talli’ design on chairs, Feryal Albastaki‘s embroidered ‘Talli’ chairs, Omar Al Gurg‘s crafted media console, Amna Alhabtoor‘s fragrance curation, and Sarah Almaddah‘s ceramic creations in the intimate majlis, collectively embodying the rich creative vision of local artists.
The Vacheron Constantin Suite 1755 is not just a lounge; it’s a curated experience for watch enthusiasts, a harmonious blend of refined aesthetics and cultural diversity. Anchoring itself at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira until April 2025, Vacheron Constantin’s reintroduction of Suite 1755 invites guests to step into a world where time, tradition, and craftsmanship converge in a celebration of the artistry that has defined the Maison for centuries.
