Van Cleef & Arpels will be showcasing its works for the first time in the Kingdom...

Reaffirming Van Cleef & Arpels’ values – think creation, transmission and education – the Maison is launching an exhibition in Saudi Arabia. Titled “Van Cleef & Arpels: Time, Nature, Love”, the exhibition is set to display some of its most coveted pieces of jewellery for the first time in the Kingdom.

Set to open its doors in Riyadh on January 19, 2023, the exhibition will feature more than 280 jewellery pieces, watches and precious objects created since the Maison was founded in 1906, alongside more than 90 archival documents, sketches and gouaché designs. The exhibition will also feature an extensive calendar that includes talks with regional and international speakers, adult and children’s workshops, and other immersive educational activities.

Curated by Alba Cappellieri, Professor of Jewellery Design at Milan Polytechnic University and President of the Milano Fashion Institute, the exhibition’s scenography was conceived by international architect-designer Johanna Grawunder and celebrates the key concepts of the exhibition.

Upon arrival, the first section is devoted to Time and extends across ten rooms – each focused on aspects emblematic of the period. Further into the exhibition, visitors will be welcomed into a section on Love displayed creations that have embodied the power of emotions, whilst the section dedicated to Nature is expressed through Botany, Flora, and Fauna.

Supported by the Saudi Ministry of Culture, the “Van Cleef & Arpels: Time, Nature, Love” exhibition is the result of the Saudi National Museum’s distinguished partnership with Van Cleef & Arpels, and gives visitors an opportunity to discover an enchanting vision in which Maison’s expert craftsmanship and pursuit of harmony come together as a true art form.
