It just goes to show you how far reaching the late, great Karl Lagerfeld‘s sphere of influence was. The designer who passed away in February of this year, resonated and provided much fashion inspiration to the whole world – and especially to other designers.
Saudi Arabian designer, Hatem Alakeel is no different. His brand, Toby by Hatem Alakeel, is known for catering to the modern Middle Eastern man with contemporary accents and flair. The label’s childrenswear, Toby Junior, has a new Ramadan collection designed as a tribute to Lagerfeld.
Speaking on the collection, Alakeel said, “This is my special tribute to the iconic designer who’s passing has impacted all of us but of course his legacy will live on.”
The collection features a raft of ties and bow ties with polished European elegance, which remains a trademark of the Toby Junior aesthetic – and of course Lagerfeld and his beloved cat, Choupette.
