Celebrity-favourite Middle Eastern label SemSem, has just launched a brand new Resort 2020 collection that we seriously need to include in our wardrobes, stat. The luxury ready-to-wear label is the brainchild of Abeer Al Otaiba — an Egyptian mother of two, and wife of the UAE Ambassador to the United States.
With her background, her brand is known for marrying east and west, as well as synonymous with glamour, brilliant workmanship and beautiful geometric detailing.
For Resort 2020, the Middle Eastern Founder and Creative Director took inspiration from the legendary Bianca Jagger — a style icon to come out of the Studio 54 scene during the 1970s.
“This season, I looked to Bianca Jagger for inspiration. Her exquisite taste and undeniable elegance evoke a sense of style we continue to gravitate towards until today. Along with that, I really resonated with the fact that she is also an advocate for defending the social and human rights of disadvantaged women and girls among many other charitable causes she is actively involved with today.”
